Atherton Collieries look forward to welcoming Bolton Wanderers to the Skuna Stadium tomorrow evening, for the sixth iteration of our now somewhat traditional pre-season clash.
Currently, the record stands at four draws and one win for Bolton, with the Whites taking the victory in last season’s secretive behind-closed-doors fixture courtesy of goals from Eoin Doyle (photographed above), Dennis Politic and “Trialist” Bright Amoateng.
The fixture is the latest in a string of league opposition for the Colls, having already faced Annan Athletic (A) followed by Salford City (H), which will then continue with the visit of Huddersfield Town on Tuesday 20th July. Tickets for the Huddersfield game will be available to purchase from the Skuna tomorrow evening.
Speaking about the fixture, manager Brad Cooke said:
“It is always a great occasion when Bolton come down! We have built up a strong relationship over the last couple of years, and long may that continue. It will be great to see so many down at the Skuna Stadium, we just hope everybody enjoys the evening.”
Bolton Wanderers Ticket Update:
– Supporters will not be able to purchase tickets or admission on the gate at tomorrow’s fixture.
– Supporters without tickets should not travel to the fixture and will not be allowed admission.
– Lateral Flow Testing is not mandatory for supporters to attend, though in the interest of supporter safety it is recommended and encouraged.
– Parking will not be available within the Skuna Stadium, though there will be a limited number of spaces available on the Formby Hall car-park.
