The fixtures for the 2018/2019 Evo-Stik League Division One West have now been confirmed, with Colls starting the campaign with a visit to Glossop North End on Saturday 18th August before welcoming Colwyn Bay to the Kensite Stadium on Monday 20th August, five days before making the same journey for an FA Cup Preliminary Round tie.
The festive period sees a Boxing Day visit to Trafford before hosting Ramsbottom United on New Years Day, with the season finishing with a trip to Staffordshire to face Newcastle Town.
This season's represents the first season of a West/East divisional split rather than the previous North/South, with Colls facing first games at this level against Market Drayton Town, Newcastle Town, Kidsgrove Athletic and Leek Town, whilst also looking forward to renewing rivalries with old North West Counties League adversaries Runcorn Linnets and Widnes.
The only fixture currently outstanding is the visit to Colne which was originally scheduled for Saturday 29th August but will need to be rearranged as Colls will be hosting Runcorn Linnets that day in an FA Trophy Extra Preliminary Round tie.
Don't forget that Colls are in pre-season action tomorrow (Friday 13th July) when Bostik League South side Chipstead make the long trip north from Surrey for a 7pm kick off. As a thank you to the tremendous support demonstrated by our followers in Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Bolton Wanderers, Friday night's game is FREE admission for all spectators.
