Bannister Slides Into Town

With the Colls playing two games per week for the foreseeable future, Manager Micheal Clegg has drafted in reinforcements in the form of Lloyd Bannister on loan from Altrincham FC. Lloyd has played in Belgium for Patro Eisden Maasmechelen (try saying that after a couple of Skuna), before playing for Central FC in Trinidad and Tobago in last year’s Caribbean Club Championships. He is a versatile player who can play anywhere on the right. Please join us in welcoming Lloyd, who will be available following tomorrow's FA Cup clash with Kidsgrove Athletic. Speaking to us earlier in the day about the squad, Cleggy said: “We have a lot of games in the next 4 weeks, and the injury list has been growing. Jake kenny is out all season, Josh Messer is 2-4 weeks away, Tom Bentham is also out for 3/4 weeks, Adam Farrell is struggling, so we needed to boost the squad at this busy time”. In other squad news, Gary Burnett and Jack Everest have made the short journey to the other side of Bolton Road to Atherton LR in order to get some games under their belts. Finally, young full-back Deven Golden decided to leave the club due to lack of opportunities. We wish him all the best.
