Brad Lynch Joins Colls

With under 5 days to go until the big kick-off, we are delighted to unveil the signing of young forward Brad Lynch. 19 year old Brad spent last season at Colne FC where he scored 17 goals in 47 games along with numerous assists, Colls fans will remember the late goal he created for Alex Curran at the Skuna in early March to grab all three points. Previously Brad had been part of the Blackburn Rovers Academy, appearing for youth teams up to the Under 18s. The industrious left-winger can play anywhere across the front-line and will offer further options going forward. Having spent the early part of pre-season with Curzon Ashton of the National League North, he was a surprise arrival as the management team finalise their squad for the forthcoming season. Speaking about the signing earlier today, manager Micheal Clegg said: “Brad is a fantastic young footballer. He was never on the radar as me and Cunny have always had that respect that we leave each other’s players alone. Brad obviously left Colne in summer to try and play higher at Curzon Ashton and it’s just not quite worked out. He has so much ability, we are really excited to work with him. He will bring a different dimension to us.” “Our recruitment policy this summer has been to get in younger hungry lads who live and breathe it. Just because the demands are so high in this league, with travelling and games. We are really happy with the squad that’s shaping up now.”
