Manager Brad Cooke has moved swiftly to reinforce his squad ahead of our league game with Hyde United, having witnessed a victory over Ashton Athletic in the LFA Challenge Trophy with just two substitutes named, coupled with the confirmation that Ben Hardcastle and Michael Brewster have joined Ashton United. Joining on loan from Chester FC, thanks to connections between assistant-manager Chris Lynch and their management duo of Bernard Morley and Anthony Johnson are midfielder Cain Noble and forward Iwan Murray. The dynamic duo are both products of Chester’s academy. Cain has recently returned from a loan spell with Saturday’s opponents Hyde United, where he made 12 appearances after making 10 appearances for Chester. Iwan has recently completed a stint with Warrington Town, he has 19 first team appearances for Chester under his belt, being described by Jonno as “absolutely staggering”.
