The club are today able to confirm details of the much anticipated Atherton Collieries Jolly Boys Outing. This will be the seventh outing in what is fast becoming one of the most talked about Colls away days of the year. In previous years we have travelled to Holyhead Hotspur, Sunderland RCA, Llay Welfare, Glantraeth and of course who could forget recent days out in Whitley Bay and Eccleshall? Last summer around 80 players, coaches and supporters spent the day in Eccleshall where a number of local pubs were taken over by the Colls Crazy Gang and the Barmy Army. This time around we will head north to take on NWCFL newcomers Carlisle City. The match will take place on Saturday 16th July 2016 with a 15:00 kick off. Their home ground was the home of Celtic Nation FC before Carlisle City moved into the venue at the beginning of the last campaign. Before, during and after the match there will be ample opportunity for the supporters to enjoy a few drinks in local pubs and of course the bar at the ground. Everybody is then invited to head back to the Rope & Anchor in Atherton for a few drinks. Coach travel information will be confirmed nearer the time of the match. Demand will be high so please keep checking social media for updates if you want to come along. If there is enough demand we may look at putting further transport on.
