Atherton Collieries are excited to confirm the Christmas plans for upcoming weekends at the Skuna Stadium. After this weekend's home match with Witton Albion (Saturday 4th December), our final home match before Christmas, all supporters have been invited by Colls manager Brad Cooke & assistant Rob Sadler to celebrate Christmas together with the first team squad. Christmas jumpers are highly encouraged for all in attendance, followed by a post-match get-together in the clubhouse, with all supporters, volunteers & players welcomed. There may even be opportunities to receive Christmas cards from your favourite members of the Colls team!
Following Saturday's club get-together, our fantastic matchday hospitality team are hosting a family bingo night in the clubhouse on Friday 10th December from 7:30pm. Again, all are welcomed for what we expect to be a great night at the Skuna Stadium, which will also be a great opportunity to show your appreciation for our great & hardworking clubhouse staff.
Ending festivities at the Colls, we will be facing our local rivals Radcliffe at the Skuna on Monday 27th of December for a belated traditional boxing day clash, kicking off at 3pm. Tickets will cost £10 for adults, £6 for concessions and £4 for u18s, with u11s attending free of charge.
Speaking on our exciting Christmas schedule, assistant manager Rob Sadler said: "Following the difficulties away from football last season, with the impact and restrictions placed on fans, it has been unbelievable to have the fans back over the last few months."
"From the first game on the opening day at Hyde, you have followed us in numbers, and having everybody back at the Skuna has been huge for us as a club and a community. With Saturday being our final home game before Christmas, it gives the players and staff an opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your continued support, and wish you all the best for the festive season!"
