Clive Smith Signs On

We are pleased to announce the signing of right-back Clive Smith from Droylsden. Clive made an appearance for the Bloods against Colls in November. The 20 year old started his professional career with Preston North End, incorporating loan spells at Bamber Bridge and St Johnstone before signing for Southport last season. Described by manager Micheal Clegg as having an unbelievable pedigree, he will link up at Colls with former Southport coach Cameron Foster. Colls have been without a dedicated right-back since Callum Spooner left the club, with Jake Kenny out for the season. Dave Sherlock has slotted in to the defence admirably. Please join us in welcoming Clive to Atherton Collieries, although there’s no word yet what his favoured biscuit is.
