Commercial Director Appointed

The club is delighted to appoint Billy Cunliffe as it's Commercial Director. As landlord of the neighbouring Rope & Anchor this appointment further strengthens the relationship between the club and local community. Billy was Colls Reserve team manager in the 70's and 80's and is a regular face at all home and away matches. Notably, he is the lead drummer in Cleggy's Midnight Runners and even played the guitar during the League Cup Final in Fleetwood at the end of last season. He has said, "I want to help finance the club to go onto the next level, which is the Evo-Stik League. In his two campaigns at the club Michael Clegg has achieved tremendous success with a squad made up of predominantly local talent." "He has committed his future to the club but we know he is ambitious. We have to continue to give him our full backing." "The committee did a great job at the end of last season achieving the Evo-Stik League ground grading standard. There are further ground improvements planned but it obviously costs a lot of money." "The club is in a good place at the moment and my job is not just to maintain this, as previously stated, but to build upon it. I have some interesting ideas... watch this space!" "If anybody has any thoughts on how to generate a little extra revenue please come and have a chat with me. We're all in this together!"
