Destination: Litherland

Tomorrow afternoon the Collieries embark upon their inaugural trip to Litherland as they take on REMYCA in the league. Found just outside Bootle, the match will take place at Litherland Sports Park where the home side have been defeated just once during their tenure in the NWCFL. Colls manager Michael Clegg has a full strength side at his disposal and a decent following is expected from Atherton as the 'Crazy Gang' and 'Barmy Army' join forces once again. The home side now have hopes of a play-off spot, sitting just four points behind Daisy Hill going into the weekends action. A win over Northwich Flixton Villa during the week has set up a semi-final between the two sides, so this forms part of a quick fire double header against the Merseysiders. The reverse fixture earlier in the season saw Collieries win 6-0 with goals from Phil Howard, Jake Patton and Mark Battersby and Mark Truffas who claimed two each. It won't be as easy this time around however as REMYCA have since reconstructed their management team and playing squad, with a lot of players joining from Maghull. Address: Litherland Sports Park, Boundary Road, Litherland, Liverpool, L21 7LA Admission: Adults - £4 Concessions - £2 Programme - £1.50 Kick off - 15:00 If you can't make it to the match, you can follow the action on Facebook and Twitter.
