It was tenth time lucky for Colls in the FA Trophy draw this lunchtime as, after nine consecutive away draws in FA competitions, the black and whites were finally handed a home tie with Marine set to visit the Kensite Stadium in the Buildbase FA Trophy Second Round Qualifying.
The tie will take place on Saturday 11th November 2017 with a 3pm kick off and is the reward for Saturday's 4-2 victory away to divisional rivals Kendal Town and again makes Colls history in what is the club's maiden FA Trophy campaign.
Marine - who boast ex Colls midfielder Vinny Bailey in their ranks - play a division above Colls and are currently in 20th position in the Evo-Stik League Premier Division and progressed to this stage of the competition with an impressive 3-1 victory away to Whitby Town on Saturday.
Report: Colls 1-2 Bacup
A delightful Dylan Moonan goal ultimately proved to be in vain as Atherton Collieries were beaten 2-1 by Bacup Borough in the Lancashire FA Trophy.
