Transfer: Jack Lenehan Signs

Atherton Collieries are excited to complete the signing of highly rated midfielder Jack Lenehan, who joins from FC United of Manchester. Jack first made his name playing for Chorley, notably playing in their 2018 Lancashire Challenge Trophy success over Clitheroe at the University of Bolton Stadium, in a team that also featured now-Colls forward Jordan Darr. The midfielder subsequently made his senior breakthrough at Prescot Cables, becoming a fans favourite and picking up 'Player of the Month' accolades before following Cables manager Brian Richardson to FC United of Manchester in May 2019, where he since made 38 appearances. The 21 year old also played in the Rochdale youth system, and recorded successes in athletics as a teenager for the well-regarded Southport Waterloo Track & Field. As a young player with an already exciting record in non-league football, we are delighted to welcome Jack to Atherton Collieries, and he will be available for immediate selection in the Colls squad for tonight's clash with Bamber Bridge.
