Tomorrow, the Collieries travel to Grantham Town for our first away match of the 2020-21 season, and our first ever trip to the South Kesteven Sports Stadium.
Our last meeting with the Gingerbreads was our final fixture before the premature curtailment of the 2019-20 season, with Bradley Cooke’s men running out convincing 2-0 winners, a result which put our fight to climb the table firmly under our control. This great performance was made even better when Colls fans and Gingerbreads alike enjoyed the unforgettable post-match performance by our friends the Lottery Winners, who were celebrating the launch of their new album at the club that day.
Speaking on tomorrow’s fixture, gaffer Brad Cooke said:
“Tomorrow will be another tough test against a side that has recruited well over the summer, bringing in a number of players from the higher divisions. We will go there to try and put last week’s loss behind us and get our first points on the board!”
Niall Battersby and Dylan Glass both return to the squad, after recovering from the injuries that kept them out of our fixture against Scarborough last weekend.
