Match Preview: Hyde (A)

Following a prolonged break, the Colls are finally back in action this Saturday as we head to Tameside to face Hyde United.

The Colls have been victim of the weather in the last few weeks with both Bamber Bridge and Macclesfield being postponed, giving the lads a well deserved break after the Radcliffe match where David Chadwick's men were denied victory by a late equaliser.

Hyde United come into today's fixture having not won in their last three with a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Whitby last time out.

The Tigers top goalscorer this season is forward Jack Redshaw, the former Morecambe, Salford & Blackpool man has 15 goals this season. Alongside Redshaw is last year's Colls Supporters Club Player of the Season Joel Amado who is in fine form also, recording a goal and man of the match award last Saturday.

Hyde has become a popular stomping ground for the Colls over recent years, with Luca Defreitas-Hansen's late debut winner on our 2021-22 opening day clash a goal that will live long in the memory.

Last time the sides met, it was a 2-1 victory for the Tigers at the Skuna Stadium, with Joe Adams notching for the Colls whilst Jordan Scanlon was denied from the penalty spot. The prolific Jack Redshaw was on hand to capitalize with a winning brace for the visitors.
