Following Saturday’s dramatic victory over Grantham Town, tomorrow the Black & Whites make the short journey to Warrington Town looking to continue building positive momentum.
Our most recent trip to Cantilever Park came in January, as we walked away from a tough and hard-fought contest with our share of the spoils and a goal apiece. Captain Danny Lafferty fired a thunderous header home to equalise for the Colls, following an early goal from the Yellows’ Ben Garrity, who made a well earned move into professional football shortly after this fixture.
Though the table is still in its formative stages, tomorrow’s opponents have taken an early lead at the front of the pack, thanks in part to the star performances of the in-form Bohan Dixon, a skilful and imposing playmaker who has already contributed three goals for the Yellows this term.
The match also marks something of a homecoming for Colls striker Dylan Glass, a product of the Warrington youth system who remains popular amongst the Yellows faithful to this day, whilst both Marcus Cusani and Jack Banister have also enjoyed stints in the yellow and blue.
Speaking on the match, manager Brad Cooke said:
"Warrington are one of my fancies for promotion. I went watching them against South Shields last week, I thought they were excellent and very unlucky not to win the game. They have had a great start to the league too winning both games. It is a tough game for us, but one that over the years we have relished. We got a well deserved point last season and we will have to be at our absolute best to repeat or better that result!"
Going into the match, Colls enter with a near full squad available, though Elliot Rokka and Lewis Doyle are both injury doubts following knocks in our previous matches, and will be assessed before the game.
We would like to thank all of our supporters who made the 260 mile round trip to Grantham on Saturday, and we look forward to seeing you all again tomorrow night. Up the Colls! Ticket Prices: Adults: £10

Under 16s: £2
