Atherton Collieries have further bolstered their squad through the signing of versatile youngster Ben Rydel from Radcliffe. Ben is a product & former captain of the Salford City youth-teams, who has since become acquainted with Northern Premier League football with spells at City of Liverpool and Radcliffe, making 29 appearances for the latter, plus 21 outings for Bootle on loan last term.
Ben has shown his versatility as both a midfielder and a full-back across his three pre-season outings for the Colls so far, notching his first goal for the club as a trialist against Prestwich as well as a well taken assist against Padiham. Ben also arrives with a growing reputation for his free-kick expertise.
