Atherton Collieries are delighted to confirm the signing of Jordan Fagbola from Hyde United, marking a statement of intent as David Chadwick adds further leadership and defensive experience. Jordan will be recognisable for many Colls fans through his recent stints with Hyde United & FC United of Manchester. Over five years at Ewen Fields, Jordan was near ever-present with 148 appearances for the Tigers alongside donning the captains armband, having previously also made 53 appearances for the Red Rebels.
The Rochdale academy graduate made his breakthrough in senior football with regular first-team football at Stockport County, where he played under the tutelage of former Colls boss Alan Lord. Jordan has also amassed further non-league experience with Solihull Moors & Colwyn Bay.
Speaking on the signing, David Chadwick says: "Jordan has consistently played and captained at these levels for years. His attitude is first class and the squad will be a much better place with him in it. I'm delighted to have him with us!"
