Atherton Collieries are delighted to confirm the signing of Jordan Scanlon, who joins on a free transfer from National League Rochdale. The young midfielder is a product of the Liverpool academy, and whilst on pro-forms with Rochdale last season spent time out on loan with Ashton United & Ramsbottom. During his spell with David Chadwick's Rams, Jordan scored a vital 5 goals over 12 games.
Jordan has so far represented the Colls twice as a Trialist, including scoring the fantastic second half lob against Blackpool.
Speaking to the club, Jordan said: "It feels good to sign for the Colls, I’m grateful for the opportunity to showcase what I can do and hopefully excite the fans. "I played for Chaddy towards the backend of last season. I feel like we built a good connection and I did very well personally under him, so I’m excited to carry that on and hopefully do the same this year. I hope to bring excitement and a feel good factor around the place for the upcoming season!"
