New Signing: Josh Solomon-Davies

Atherton Collieries can today confirm the signing of Joshua Solomon-Davies, an international defender who joins the Stripes as a free transfer. The 23-year old right-back has become a key player for the resurgent Marine over recent years, making 109 appearances for the Lilywhites over four seasons including their historic FA Cup Third Round clash with Tottenham Hotspur. The relentless fullback also boasts international experience to his name, having represented Saint Lucia as recently as last season in the CONCACAF Nations League. Speaking on the signing, David Chadwick says: "Josh was one of my first calls as Atherton manager but unfortunately he had to go back to St Lucia for a while. He's back now and has fit right in with the lads at training already. Josh brings experience to the squad which I feel is vital, he's a solid full back that can get up and down the pitch, which will be key to what we want to achieve this season!"
