Atherton Collieries can confirm the signing of highly rated young fullback Lewis Coulton, who enters the Colls squad ahead of today's match against Radcliffe. Lewis has quickly made a name for himself within non-league circles, the left-back having impressed with loan spells at Bamber Bridge, Chester, Warrington Town and Bradford (Park Ave.) whilst plying his trade for Preston North End's academy.
The young Scotsman joins Josh Solomon-Davies and Nico Defreitas-Hansen in adding further international pedigree to the Colls ranks, having represented Scotland u19s on multiple occasions throughout 2022.
Speaking on the signing, manager David Chadwick adds: "I tried to sign Lewis in the summer, but he was trialing at higher levels and we have tracked him since. When I saw the opportunity to sign him I couldn't say no, he will bring lots of energy to the team and will fit in with what we are trying to build.” Lewis Coulton is now available to sponsor. Please speak to Rob or Nick at today's game for more details.
