Atherton Collieries can confirm the signing of forward Lewis Mansell from Ramsbottom United. The young Blackburn Rovers graduate has most notably plied his trade with Partick Thistle & Accrington Stanley, representing the Tics 21 times over a two-year stint before signing for the Reds in 2020, where he made 12 appearances prior to his release in 2022.
In June 2020, Lewis was voted into the Scottish Championship Team of the Season as a forward, and also notably scored in the Scottish Challenge Cup semi-final. Lewis has also represented Halifax Town, Southport and FC United of Manchester, all in the National League North.
Lewis first played under the tutelage of David Chadwick at FC United of Manchester, before relinking with the now-Colls boss at Ramsbottom towards the end of last season.
