New Signing: Tolani Omotola

Atherton Collieries can today confirm the signing of Tolani Omotola from Stafford Rangers. Tolani has most notably featured for Witton Albion and Barwell in the Northern Premier League Division One and Southern League Premier respectively. The striker recorded an impressive 18 goals in 25 games on loan at Witton from Tranmere in the 2016/17 season, including one against the Colls, and also accumulated 15 goals over 30 games for Barwell over the 2019/20 season in the Southern League Premier (equivalent to our own division). Speaking on the signing, manager Brad Cooke said: "I am delighted to bring Tolani to the club. He is exactly the type of striker we have been after since Dylan Glass left. He is strong, quick, very good with his back to goal and most importantly has a fantastic goal scoring record at this level. He adds something different to our forward line and I look forward to working with him!" Tolani will be available for tonight's fixture at Scarborough Athletic, and we wish him a warm welcome to the Skuna. Photo Credit: Barwell FC
