Atherton Collieries can confirm the signings of goalkeeper Conor Robson and returning defender Niall Battersby.
An addition to the local core of the Collieries squad, Athertonian Niall has already worn his hometown Stripes as a youngster on 61 occasions under the management of both Michael Clegg and Brad Cooke.
Whilst he was primarily a full-back in his first stint at the club, Niall has since developed and matured into a formidable center-half, playing a key role for last season’s NPL Division One Champions Widnes, and has also represented Ashton United, Bury and Northwich Victoria in his time away.
Conor Robson joins the Colls from City of Liverpool. The stopper is a product of the Stoke City and Tranmere Rovers Academies, representing Trafford on loan previously. Robson made his permanent move into non-league football with Leek Town in the NPL Premier at the beginning of last season.
Interviews with the Collieries two latest additions can be found on our official club YouTube channel.
