Atherton Collieries can today confirm the signings of Joe Adams and Ethan Henderson, who bolster the club's offensive options from National League clubs Southport and York respectively. Joe Adams will already be a familiar face for the Colls faithful, as he offered one of the Sandgrounder's brightest forward sparks at our Lancashire Trophy final clash back in April. A product of the Bury youth team, Joe received the Young Player of the Year award at Gigg Lane in 2019.
Upon departing Bury, Joe spent three seasons with Brentford where he played a key role with 18 goals across 65 appearances for the B team, whilst also registered with the first team squad. The Welsh youngster has also featured a combined total of 43 times for Southport and Dundalk.
Ethan Henderson joins on a short term loan from Bootham Crescent. Ethan is a graduate of the York City academy, signing senior forms following a successful first team trial. The young striker has also represented Selby and Northallerton in the Northern League and Northern Counties East Divisions.
Discussing his new additions, David Chadwick says:
"Ethan is a young forward who is thought of very highly at York City. He is bright around the box and a natural goalscorer, and I'm hoping he can contribute in his time here with us.
"Joe has lots of ability and when I found out he was available it was a no brainer bringing him in and I can't wait to get him started!" Both players are available to make their Stripes debut at the Skuna Stadium tonight as we face Lancashire rivals Bamber Bridge at 7:45pm.

Report: Colls 1-2 Bacup
A delightful Dylan Moonan goal ultimately proved to be in vain as Atherton Collieries were beaten 2-1 by Bacup Borough in the Lancashire FA Trophy.
