The Club are pleased to announce that Goalkeeper Adam Reid has been awarded the Goalkeeper of the Month Award for February by the Hallmark Security League. Reid, pictured, has been instrumental in every single one of our games this season, providing key game-defining saves when needed. This award gives Reid the credit he deserves. The following is taken from the Hallmark Security League website:
In a month which Colls played four games, winning all four without conceding a goal, young shot stopper Adam Reid was integral to this fine run of form. "Reidy has grown in stature as the campaign has progressed, as he marshalls his defence with increasing confidence. When he has to come for a ball he commits himself fully and his is not afraid to clear everything out including his own defenders. In the team's fine run in February, Colls enjoyed three 1-0 consecutive victories over Barnton, 1874 Northwich and Bootle, before a month ending 5-0 win over Congleton Town. In the narrow one goal triumphs, Adam made decisive saves in each game to ensure the three points were collected. In particular, one close range save in the game against 1874 and the way he repelled Bootle's last ditch attempts to get a point, were highlights during an excellent month for both club and goalkeeper, and Adam thoroughly deserves the Colls nomination for Goalkeeper of the Month.Well done Reidy!
