Preview: Abbey Hey v Colls

This evening the Collieries make the short trip through Manchester to meet with Abbey Hey for what is sure to be another enjoyable edition of Friday Night Football in the HSL Premier Division.  The Gorton based side are in a fine run of form of late and currently find themselves sixth in the form table, and we all know how competitive this league is – the four wins out of their last six would have been thoroughly deserved. Hey fell down to Padiham midweek, losing by six goals to two. However, their most recent win came on the Saturday just gone as they swept an inform Ashton Athletic aside. One Johnathan Hardy goal and a further two from Nico Collins for the Red’s in that game. The last meeting between the two sides came in March of this year, a rare 0-0 draw at the Kensite in front of a healthy crowd of 151. As always, it will be great to see as many of you as possible down at the Abbey Stadium – for those travelling by train this evening, the nearest train station is Ryder Brow, and the ground is only a short ten minute walk from there. Date – 04/11/2016 Kick off – 19:45 Address – The Abbey Stadium, Goredale Avenue, Gorton, Manchester, M18 7HD Admission – Adults £5, Concessions £2.50
