A second midweek outing in as many weeks provides Atherton Collieries their latest chance to kickstart their season, but it promises to be another tough test as David Chadwick’s side travel to take on Bootle.
Tuesday night’s hosts are two for two in the league so far this season, having seen off both Nantwich Town and Trafford without conceding a goal.
That perfect start came to something of a screeching holt last time out, however, in the form of a 3-1 defeat against fellow Northern Premier League Division One West outfit and near rivals City of Liverpool in the FA Cup Preliminary Round.
Both teams will be eager to bounce back quickly from cup disappointment, then, yet it’s to the same competition that Colls supporters may turn for some solace, with their side having won 2-0 away against their upcoming opponents during the FA Cup’s 2015/16 iteration.
And after a difficult start to the current campaign, a repeat of that result would be more than timely, and any support in driving the lads on towards that goal would, as always, be hugely appreciated.
For those looking to make the trip to the Berry Street Garage Stadium, tickets can be purchased either online via the following link (https://www.bootlefc.com/tickets) or on the night via cash/card turnstiles, priced as follows; Adults: £8, Over 65s/Under 18s: £5, Under 16s: £3.
Meanwhile, travel (departing the Rope and Anchor pub at 5:00pm and priced at £10 per seat) can be secured by contacting the club or supporters club through social media, or emailing robcollsmedia@outlook.com.
