Tomorrow night, the Colls welcome Bamber Bridge for our third match at the Skuna Stadium in seven days, and it promises to be yet another exciting encounter under the floodlights against our Lancashire rivals.
Despite being a relatively new addition to the British sporting calendar, our fixtures against the Brig have developed into well-anticipated & hard-fought affairs over recent seasons, with our friends from Irongate appearing at many pivotal moments over the course of the 2017-18 and 19-20 campaigns. Of course, the most notable clash came in the Integro Cup, with the Collieries running out victorious on a pristine Skuna Stadium pitch en-route to our historic victory in the final at Alfreton, whilst our most recent fixture was the first step into our new era at Colls in November 2019, with an interim management team taking charge of a bittersweet 4-1 victory.
Bradley Cooke’s black & whites enter the match following two entertaining bouts at the Skuna Stadium, with the supporters who attended our clashes with Ashton United on Tuesday and Stalybridge on Saturday both getting great value for their money as the Collieries walked away with a well-earned four points from the available six, and supporters can be assured that we will be fighting to end this home triple header on a high.
