Atherton Collieries can today confirm that Aaron Dwyer and Joe Piggott have agreed to remain at the Dreams2Reality Stadium for the 2025/26 season.
With 16 goals from 26 games since his debut in November 2024, Aaron Dwyer has quickly developed into a fans favourite at the Dreams2Reality Stadium, picking up last season’s prestigious “Coalden Boot” Award alongside the Committee and Manager’s Player of the Season gongs.
Joe Piggott likewise proved a key player as the Collieries kicked on for the “Great Escape” across the second half of the season, with versatility and top class performances across both the front line and midfield.
More player retentions are set to be announced over the coming weeks, as well as new signings and maybe even familiar faces returning to the Dreams2Reality Stadium.
