This snap was taken following Steve Pilling’s teams hard fought 1-0 triumph over NWCFL Division 1 league leaders Abbey Hey on their own midden. Paul Prescott notch the all important goal. Captain Brad Cooke had got the lads together not just to celebrate a fine result but also to pay tribute to their universally popular physio Alan ‘Big Al’ Hayes who had passed away in the days preceding the game. There wasn’t a dry eye in that huddle as the emotions of the previous few days were totally unleashed. This remains Brad’s favourite ever Colls photograph.
