At the end of the 1970/71 campaign the first team would leave their beloved Bolton Combination and join the Lancashire Combination. After ten Combination titles and a record breaking six Lancashire Amateur Shield Trophy wins the club would now face up against the creams of clubs from the County Palatine Of Lancashire.
