As we approach the business end of the season; a mere 10 games to go as we attempt to make history and take the club to the uncharted waters of the Northern Premier League Premier Division, we'd like to give an update on the playing staff, with a couple of departures and a new arrival.
Josh Messer - Josh has sadly decided to leave us after a number of incredible years. A really popular lad and a fantastic footballer, Josh has decided that he wants some time away from football to spend with his family and plan his wedding for the summer. We will all miss Josh and hope to see him back at Colls next season.
Adam Farrell - Adam is looking at getting out and playing as much as possible until the end of the season, he has a few options open to him. He is also a really popular lad within the group but has struggled for a run of games due to injuries. We'd like to thank Faz for his efforts.
Dale Latham – Also leaving the club is goalkeeper Dale who came in and brought stability to the position, we want to thank Dale for everything. To come in for a period of time and be so professional, to represent the club as he did is a credit to himself. He was brilliant for us and we cannot thank him enough.
On the flip side, we have now signed goalkeeper Chris Cheetham. Chris has a wealth of experience with Radcliffe, Ramsbottom United, Skelmersdale, Southport and Lancaster City. We are also looking to strengthen the squad further...
As previously detailed, Glenn Matthews is out for the season with a double hernia. Danny Lambert made a welcome return to the squad at the weekend whilst Jordan Cover is also close to a return.
