Toyeeb Mustapha Unveiled

Following a degree of mystery, we can finally unveil the signing of the player who has previously been referred to as "Trailist", or more recently as just "T". Joining from League of Ireland side Athlone Town is Toyeeb Mustapha (pictured above, credit: David Featherstone). The exciting winger has already thrilled Colls fans with his out and out attacking style, running at players with pace, creating chances seemingly at will. Starting his career at Shamrock Rovers, he has also represented Waterford and St. Patrick's Athletic. Speaking about the signing, manager Micheal Clegg said: “Since Toyeeb has come in, he has just excited us all with his style of play. Someone who loves to excite and play forward and be positive is something that we love at Colls. He is a great character too, always smiling and joking and has fitted in with the group straight away. I’m sure he will light up a few pitches this year with his style.“ Toyeeb himself added: "I’m really happy to be signing with Atherton Collieries. I have really enjoyed my time so far at the club , everyone at the club from the staff to fans have been nothing but welcoming the last 3 to 4 weeks I’ve spent in pre-season training and playing friendlies with the team. I’ve settled quickly into what I think is a great dressing room filled with some good players and great personalities, looking forward to starting the season in August now."
