Atherton Collieries are delighted to announce the signing of former Liverpool youth player Henoc Mukendi. The attacking midfielder, who is an Atherton lad, is looking forward to representing his hometown club after a tough couple of years in the game. Mukendi joined Liverpool's youth teams in 2007 and made his debut for the Under 18's in the 2010-11 season. He also made his debut for the reserves in 2011.The following season he played regularly again for the Under 18s and reserves and in May 2012 he signed a two-year professional contract at Anfield. In early August 2012, he joined Northampton Town on loan until January 2012. He made his club debut in the League Cup against Cardiff and his league debut against Rochdale. His first senior goal came in October 2012 as Northampton beat Colchester. In January 2013, his loan spell with Northampton ended and he returned to his parent club Liverpool. From there he joined Scottish top flight club Partick Thistle on loan until 2014. Since then he has returned home and had brief spells with Ashton United, Marine and Stalybridge Celtic. He has signed for Colls to help his local club mount a title challenge. He also adds to the FA Vase squad as he has not represented another side in the competition. Welcome to the club, Henoc!
