Striker George West has today joined the club for a second spell on a dual registration deal from Stockport County. At the tail end of last season he made nine appearances for Colls, scoring a vital goal in a close 2-1 home victory over Winsford United, ultimately helping to see us over the line and clinch the NWCFL Premier Division title. He joined on a short term deal from The Hatters before returning to his parent club at the end of the campaign. Having had a successful pre-season under Jim Gannon at County and after making three league appearances in the National League North already this season, Michael Clegg believes West will once again be a great addition to the squad. "We're absolutely delighted to have him back. We all saw last year the talent he has. It's really important for us to get some more attacking options as we have unfortunately lost Mark Battersby long term and we are currently heavily relying on Jordan Cover. It will ease the pressure on him and I believe we'll look stronger going forward as a result." It is expected that George will be involved in the match at Trafford FC tomorrow.
