This evening we welcome Maine Road to Alder House in what will be the Collieries third game in the NWCFL Premier Division this season. On Saturday the Colls made the journey to Merseyside to play Bootle in the Extra Preliminary Round of the FA Cup. A competitive game resulted in a 2-0 for Atherton thanks to goals from Kris Holt and Ben Hardcastle. That game, of course, came on the back of last Monday’s 4-2 defeat against Padiham. Brighouse await in the next round for the Collieries. Michael Clegg and his management team have a full squad to choose from tonight also. Maine Road also progressed to the Preliminary Round of the FA Cup on Saturday. They picked up a good 2-1 win at home to St Helens Town, Connor Hughes and Nicholas Osborne with their goals. As always, your support this evening will be much appreciated by everyone at the club.
