Welcome: James Wightman & Tony Cobban

The Collieries can today confirm the further structure of incoming manager David Chadwick's management team. We would like to first welcome James Wightman to the Skuna Stadium, joining as David's new assistant manager. James arrives with a wealth of knowledge & experience of the Manchester non-league scene, notably becoming Curzon Ashton's assistant manager following a key role within their youth teams, having previously held the same position at New Mills, and most recently doing so with Hyde. We would also like to welcome goalkeeping coach Tony Cobban, who joins from Ramsbottom United. Tony has worked alongside David with both the Rams and Chorley under-21s, and brings professional standards and experience from a period as development coach from Blackburn Rovers. Everybody at the Skuna Stadium wishes to offer Tony & James a very warm welcome, and we look forward to offering supporters further updates of the new era at Atherton Collieries over the coming weeks.
The club have this morning also posted an advert for a Kitman to join the new backroom team. For more details, please visit ↘️ AthertonCollieries.co.uk/news/vacancy-kit-man/
