West Didsbury & Chorlton Friendly Added

We are pleased to announce another addition to our pre-season schedule with a visit to Brad Cooke’s West Didsbury & Chorton on Tuesday 30th July (7.15PM KO). Brookburn Road has been a happy hunting ground for the Colls under Micheal Clegg, Nathan Battersby breaking West hearts with a last gasp winner in our first game back in the North-West Counties Premier Division four years ago the highlight. Cooke was himself on the scoresheet the following year as Colls ran out 3-1 winners on our way to winning the league in 2016/17. Our last visit was our pre-season opener 2 years ago, as we prepared for life in the Evo-Stik league. Darrhyl Mason and Johnny Gorman with the brace the Colls scorers in a 3-3 draw. Apart from the appointment of Brad Cooke, Robert Sadler and Warren Jones as West’s management team, links between the clubs run deeper. Stringent rules over floodlight usage saw West use our Skuna Stadium as the venue of their home game with City of Liverpool FC in May 2018. With now co-chairman Rob McKay a regular visitor to Alder Street, we look forward to joining the Krombacher Ultras for one or two as they prepare for life in the North-West Counties Division 1 South. Date: Tues 30th July Time: 7.15PM Address: Brookburn Rd, Manchester M21 8FE As always, the schedule is subject to change. We do expect a couple more fixtures to be added to this schedule and details will be added on the website as soon as we know.
