Atherton Collieries can confirm we will be travelling to Annan Athletic on Saturday 3rd July for the opening fixture of our pre-season campaign.
This trip to Galabank will also mark the eleventh edition of our near-annual “Jolly Boys” pre-season outing, a now traditional club bonding affair dating back to 2008. The Galabankies currently compete in the SFL League Two under the stewardship of Carlisle United’s all-time record appearance holder, Peter Murphy, and are now preparing for their fourteenth season in the Scottish Professional Football League.
Alongside our 2021 Jolly Boys trip, we can also confirm that we will also be travelling to Liversedge for the closing match of our pre-season schedule. The ‘Sedge were due to host our 2020 iteration of the annual “Jolly Boys” outing, plans which were unfortunately scuppered by the world situation at the time, and we are grateful to have been able to re-arrange our trip to Clayborn into this season’s schedule.
Coach details, ticket prices and travel arrangements will be announced in due course, and supporters are reminded that passports are not currently required for travel into Scotland.
